Congratulations to all the Telugu expatriates of Bahrain on the occasion of celebrating the 10th anniversary of Telugu Kala Samithi, Bahrain. TKS, Bahrain was founded with the motto of establishing a platform to encourage Telugu culture and arts. As a founder member of the Samithi, I feel proud to put on record that the performance of the Samithi has been exemplary with its zeal and commitment to the social work for the Indian community at large and Telugu people in particular. I pray that the Samithi continues its good work in the years to come. With best wishes, CRK Murthy (Founder Member and President)

Nostalgia....Nostalgia... This day takes me down memory lane! Memories are still fresh and pictures are very vivid-of the excitement we went through the day I got the news of the formal registration of the TKS.Excitement multiplied as we organized the inaugral function, hunted for premises, refurnished the premises, had a grand opening of its own premises,...and it continued.Today I cannot believe that 10 years have passed since that moment. It was disheartening for me to leave Bahrain and TKS.But, as the first president ,I feel proud that the baby has now grown up and now flourished with the tireless efforts put in by various committees year after year.Telugu community is the only community in Bahrain, which has only one club and I am sure we will maintain this legacy of unity till the end.Keep up the good work!
With best wishes,
Vinod Somal (1998-2000)
At the outset,I would like to pay tributes to Late Dr.Krishna Mohan, who was instrumental in getting the official recognition and registration to Telugu Kala Samithi. The second Executive Committee of TKS was installed in 2000.Members of the Executive Committee were new,but experienced persons. The same committee continued for the next term too.but with a couple of new members and change of positions.During this two years committee endeavored to provide entertainment to members on all Thursday and succeeded. It was appreciated that almost all members cooperated with the Committee. Two picnics were also held and become very popular with the members. The Samithi celebrated all the festivals of India such as Eid,Christmas,Deepavali,Ugadi,New year etc..with pomp and giety.TKS was involved in Social Services activities such donation to the Blind Assosciation,Blood Bank etc.It may not be out of place to mention that TKS has raised considerable amount for the sufferers of the Gujarat Earthquake.
With best wishes,

I am happy to know that the Telugu Kala Samithi of Bahrain is bringing out a souvenir on its 10th anniversary, highlighting its achievements. It is indeed a befitting way of acknowledging the accomplishments of all involved.Over the years (from its inception in 1990), the Telugu Kala Samithi has grown from strength to strength and today, we’ve been able to organize the 5th consecutive mega event. Even though there were restrictions initially, the Samithi was active and used to perform under the umbrella of other registered clubs. Since the past 10 years, the Samithi has been able to showcase its talent and cultural heritage under its own banner.I cherish all those wonderful moments and our contributions since 1990 in bringing up Telugu Kala Samithi as we see today. This is a very proud occasion for all of us and I take this opportunity to congratulate the whole Telugu community in Bahrain and wish the executive committee all success in their future endeavors.
With best wishes,
G. Gopal Reddy (2003 - 2004 & 2005 - 2006)
Coming together is a beginning. Staying together is progress. Working together is success. At TKS, we did all these three and much more. We’ve been living together as a family for ten long years after the Samithi’s registration, and many more years before that too.I congratulate each one of you on this happy occasion. May TKS continue to shine forever as a pearl of Bahrain.
With best wishes,
Raj Sekhar (2004 – 2005 & 2007 – 2008)
Today, Telugu Kala Samithi has become a dais to preserve our rich culture and tradition and pass it to the next generation. It is a platform to bring inherent talents of members and children. I salute all the visionaries who have contributed for its formation and the members who have worked and are working for its existence in high spirits.I am very happy to have been a part of this great organization.

Telugu Kala Samithi (TKS) of Bahrain has continuously progressed towards reaching heights of excellence since its formation in 1998. It is now recognized as one of the most disciplined organizations on the island.During the panic situation of many clubs closing down due to several restrictions imposed by the local authorities, TKS came out with an innovative idea of mobilizing funds through mega programs. There has been a progressive rise in the collection of funds during the past five years. Though I am physically residing outside Bahrain, my thoughts always pull towards TKS Bahrain.
